We are pleased to share news of two more engineers becoming Chartered.
It gives us great pleasure to announce Luke Hunma and Praveena Keerty have both passed their professional review with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and are now Chartered Engineers.
Luke joined the business back in 2012 as a Graduate Design Engineer, and having worked his way through the ranks, now proudly takes up the role of Associate Director.
When we spoke to Luke about his recent Chartership, he told us what it meant to him both on a personal and professional level, "Becoming Chartered with the ICE is one of the main aspirations for all Civil Engineering students after completing their degree. I have now achieved this goal which I set myself at the end of 2021. I have put in a lot of hard work in my own time to get myself through the whole process and had great guidance from my peers at 48.3 and Richter. I have learned a great deal just going through the process which I believe has made me a better Civil Engineer than I was before".
Luke is now looking forward to progressing into his new Associate Director role and growing with the business. Together with Senior Management, the team has set many goals to achieve this year and Luke is eager to achieve these, "If there is one thing that the Chartership process has taught me, it is that I can achieve success when I have a clear goal and a great plan".
Praveena has been with us since 2016. She joined the team as a Design Engineer with four years’ experience as a Structural Engineer in oil and gas, and within two years was promoted to a Senior Design Engineer and Team Leader.
Praveena is currently the Technical Lead for her team, achieving Chartership has been a dream come true for her, "Achieving CEng is very prestigious for me, a dream come true. It is a recognition for my hard work, professional commitment and competency. It holds me accountable to keep myself up to date and above the level in all the core attributes".
From day one, Praveena has always been involved in many challenging projects and expresses her gratitude towards the whole team at 48.3, with special thanks going to Ben Beaumont, Luke Hunma and Gavin Dempsey. "The guys believed in my skills, provided the flexibility I need as a working mum and helped me develop my knowledge and understanding in scaffolding".
Praveena will continue to deliver high quality design solutions and will be mentoring the future aspirants of ICE.
Luke / Praveena, so well deserved and huge congratulations for all of the team at 48.3.
